Abigale Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Mills (born on the 21st of September 1965) was an American dance instructor,
choreographer and reality TV host. She is the founder of the Abby Lee Dance
Company, which appeared on the reality series Dance Moms for eight seasons.
Miller admitted guilt on June 27th, 2016 to fraudulent bankruptcy in the felony
category. Miller was sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison, and
released on the 27th of March the 27th of March, 2018. In April of 2018 she was
diagnosed with lymphoma. an aggressive form of cancer that made her unable to
walk. To get around she relies on wheelchair. Miller grew up around dance in
Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, located in a Pittsburgh suburb. She studied under the
tutelage of her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller was 14 when
she was tasked with choreography and instruction of one of her mother's dance
teams. Miller eventually took over the studio in the year 1995 and named the
company Reign Dance Productions. Miller was recognized as a certified dancer by
Dance Masters of America in 1986. She was also made an active part of Dance
Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. However Miller's
membership was terminated by the DMA in February 2012 when the DMA claimed that
Miller's reality-TV series Dance Moms was "a complete misrepresentation of
teachers and students of dance and is harmful to the profession of dance."
